Judaism in our own words. Presenting the Student to Student program.
Student to Student is a high school peer to peer education program, where small teams of Jewish high school students bring personal and relatable perspectives about their Judaism to local classrooms.
Our program:
- Reduces prejudice and bigotry
- Fosters understanding among peers
- Introduces students to Jewish teens from different backgrounds
- Facilitates discussions to help dismantle antisemitism
- Puts a human face to Judaism
Student to Student is a proven, experiential educational program that has been successfully integrated into high school classrooms across the country for over 30 years. The program is free and complements upper level high school courses including History, English, Social Studies, World Religions, and more. Many teachers choose to combine our program with their Holocaust studies classes to provide crucial context.
Our program is designed for both public and private schools, during a regular class period, throughout the school year. Our presenters receive training on public speaking about their lives as Jewish teens, and encourage other students to ask questions and engage in informal discussion. Our Program Coordinator works with teachers and schools to schedule presentations in their classrooms during the school day.
Student to Student Presentation Survey Results:
Have you ever met a Jewish person before today? 43% said they had “no.”
