Connecting Jewish Tulsa

Chai Society Kickoff: Sunset Sip & Shabbat

Date

Sep 12 2025

Time

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Calling all young adults (ages 21–40) ready to take the next step in their Jewish community journey! Join us for the kickoff of Chai Society, a giving society for those who commit $180 per person to the Federation’s Annual Campaign.

We’re marking the occasion with a unique Shabbat dinner centered on intentionality, tradition, and community. Together, we’ll gather around the table to welcome Shabbat, share wine and food pairings curated by local sommelier Pablo Aguilar, owner of Wine is Food, and soak in the beauty of a sunset setting. Between courses, you’ll hear from fellow young adults about the values and experiences that inspire them to give back and invest in our shared future.

If you haven’t yet made your Chai Society gift this year, you’ll have the opportunity to do so that night. Come sip, schmooze, and discover your “why” as we celebrate the power of giving and the joy of Shabbat.

$36 per person | Location provided upon registration

He began his journey as a coffee waiter and steadily rose through leadership roles across the hospitality world, driven by a mission to make wine accessible and joyful for everyone. At the heart of Pablo’s approach is a philosophy of truly “eating” wine, not merely drinking it. He emphasizes an emotional and spiritual connection between wine, food, and service. Through WiNEisFOOD LLC, he creates curated wine tastings, educational events, personalized consultations, and meaningful experiences. We are so lucky to have him lead our Chai Society Kickoff!
