Join Women’s Philanthropy for an afternoon of giving back at Lindsey House, a community that empowers women and their children who are experiencing situational homelessness. Lindsey House provides fully-furnished apartments for families and equips mothers with vital tools in financial literacy, workplace proficiency, and life skills through a year-long curriculum. Families can live at Lindsey House for up to two years as they build toward stability and independence. Our project will include a hands-on flower workshop with the moms and a pumpkin painting activity for the children. This is a family-friendly program, open to all. You can view the Lindsey House wishlist HERE or by scanning the QR code below.
Lindsey House serves women with children who are experiencing situational homelessness. In addition to providing families a fully-furnished apartment, women participate in a series of curriculum focused on financial literacy, workplace readiness and life skills. Our goals are to: stabilize employment, learn to budget, pay off debt, create an emergency savings fund, and find stable next-step housing.
We believe once a woman has secure and safe housing for herself and her children, she can focus on setting
goals to radically change her family’s future.
