Tell me and I forget.
Teach me and I remember.
Involve me and I learn.
Summer is soon gone and a new year is starting. School will be back in session along with our Midrasha and the Adult Institute programs. I am looking forward to going back to teaching and to meeting new people who will teach me.
I encourage you all, youth and adults, to join us and to deepen your knowledge of Israel and to ask every question you ever had.
Our calendar soon will be full of our beautiful holidays and in this time of togetherness, Einat and I miss our families more than usual. Without noticing we have been here a whole year! When we arrived Carmel didn’t walk or talk , and today he is running all over and speaks both English and Hebrew.
The amount of people who helped us here during this year to start walking and talking in our new life is so big that I won’t even try to say thank you to each one. We are grateful to meet and work with so many nice and warm people who helped us to feel a part of the Tulsa community.
We are still shocked when we see people standing in line for a cup of coffee or in general seeing people standing in line, but in many ways we feel more and more like local Tulsans. Whether it’s the fact that our son’s favorite foods are pizza and mac and cheese, or that we now know that not every person that asks us how our day was really means that we should tell them what happened to us that day!
This year is the 70th anniversary of Israel and this is your time to join and work together and plan exciting events for this important day.
Please contact me and be a part of team that will lead this special event.
